Terms

Draft updated: 2026-08-17 · Proposed scope: United States first.

Proposed Service

SeaWeb provides search and context API infrastructure for AI agents, including websites, FastMCP protocol endpoints (`https://api.seaweb.tech/mcp`), structured entity lookup, and crawled-page search. An uncached query may trigger a bounded real-source fetch, 72-hour grounded cache, and asynchronous crawler handoff. Features, coverage, availability, freshness, and outputs may change and are not guaranteed.

Accounts, API keys, and limits

Users must protect credentials and access FastMCP via mandatory `Authorization: Bearer sw_...` headers; URL-parameter keys are strictly rejected with HTTP 400. Users must comply with documented rate limits (30 burst / 120 HMAC / 500 daily), quotas, abuse, and fair-use limits.

Acceptable use and AI risks

Retrieved snippets represent untrusted third-party web content; callers must isolate and sanitize external context against prompt injection. Do not violate law or rights, probe security boundaries, disrupt service, submit infringing content, or rely on unverified outputs for high-stakes decisions.

External links and Stripe

SeaWeb is strictly a read-only search engine (booking relay retired 2026-08-04) and does not execute reservations or hold funds. Venue links in results are search citations only. Subscriptions for paid tiers (such as the $100/month Growth tier) and query packs are processed via Stripe Checkout.

IP, DMCA safe harbor, and licensing

SeaWeb complies with DMCA safe harbor (17 U.S.C. § 512). Copyright takedown notices and counter-notices should be directed to dmca@seaweb.tech. Publisher rights, license scope, and repeat-infringer terms remain [COUNSEL: finalize].

Liability, disputes, and law

[COUNSEL: insert approved warranty, liability cap ($100 or 12mo paid fees), indemnity, governing-law (Delaware/California), venue, mandatory individual arbitration in San Francisco/Wilmington with 30-day opt-out, and legal-entity language.]
